Alessandro Nadalin, CTO, is a seasoned technical leader who pays a lot of attention to enterprise patterns, methodologies and communities. He heavily focused his attention to agile practices, patterns of enterprise application architecture and leading mid/big-sized development teams. Due to the companies he worked for he has been involved in projects for governments, Samsung, Nissan, ENI and pioneered the e-commerce ecosystem in the Middle East. Big supporter of the REST architectural style, Service Oriented Architectures and asynchronous messaging systems: when he’s not working, you can find him speaking at some conference, riding his motorcycle, blogging or eating some indonesian food in the old side of Dubai.
Abdul Hannan is Namshi’s Mobile Ninja who is married to iOS but was also dating Android in the past. He has been doing mobile apps development since 2011 and was working on apps for Banking Industry and Dubai Government prior to joining Namshi. He holds Computer Engineering degree from Karachi Pakistan. He loves to spend time with his family along with learning new things in mobility domain.
Noor Ul Ain Ali is a telecom engineer with Masters in Computer Science from Karachi, Pakistan. She started her career as an iOS developer, enhancing her skills in Android and then Mac development. She is a diversified team player, a detail oriented resource, and a quick learner. She has keen interest in application development based on smart TV, smart watch, google glass apps, and wearable gadgets. She loves to spend time learning new technologies related to big data and mobile apps development.
Khaled Alqasrawi Is an upstarting, self-taught Android guru with an electronics engineering background and who has a penchant for binging on TED talks. He’s been working with Android since its early days. Khaled is passionate about Kotlin, React native, TDD and clean code, and if he ever decides to get a tattoo, it will be the Android mascot.
Geshan Manandhar Quality and Maintenance Lead (QM Lead), is a seasoned software engineer, with more than 6 years of professional web development experience. He is focused on enterprise application architecture and methodologies. With a keen interest on REST architecture and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices. He believes in agile methods for software engineering. Blogging is also something he likes to do in his free time.
Ayham Alzoubi is a Software Engineer at Namshi. He joined the Tech Team in April 2012. Ayham holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology Engineering from Damascus University in Syria. He is working in Web Development and he was involved in different projects at Namshi. Ayham is working in implementing automated testing procedures for Namshi, and writing open source libraries.
Hossam Fares likes developing with open source components, he is working as a software engineer since 2008 because code is fun, he hopes to be empowered and empowering others in this field.
Tedj Meabiou is a software engineer and entrepreneur who loves building products that make people’s life easier. He joined the backend team, contributing on its distributed microservices architecture. Before joining Namshi, he was leading a team building a scalable uber-like product in Algeria. He co-founded ioGrow, an international startup, where he was leading a technical team building a social selling platform serving thousands of users from around the world.
Gurjeet Singh is a Network Administrator at Namshi. His Job responsibilities include networks, firewalls, switches and server management in order to improve the existing server infrastructure as well as new installations and backups. He also proactively monitors uptimes, failovers and performances of infrastructure and much more. He has around 8 years of experience in Telecom , Network and Linux Technologies.
Adedamola Disu is a Junior Desktop Support who joined Namshi in 2014. He works with the team to keep network availability and provide support to the Organization. He is hardworking and reliable with excellent communication and IT skills giving adaptability to new situations. Disu is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in IT Management from the University of Wollongong. He sees the Tech team as a motivation and hopes to be a coding geek someday.
Abdelrahman Shiddo is a DevOps Engineer from Ireland, who holds a BEng in Mechatronics Engineering from University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. He loves automating, building reliable, highly available platforms that make it easier for developers to deploy more frequently and is always looking for ways to improve the performance of platforms by using the appropriate tools for the job required. His main focus is implementing automation and infrastructure-as-code with technical skills that include Python, Terraform, Docker, Bash, AWS and more. He’s always up for a challenge and loves to get out of his comfort zone to learn more.
Razan Bilwani is a Senior Product Management Analyst, and has been at Namshi for almost 4 years. Before Product Management, he dabbled in Content, Digital Strategy, and Onsite Analytics. Razan used to run his own wholesale business in the heart of Dubai before deciding to go ‘Online’. With a degree in Management Information Systems in one hand, and a thirst for studying the unknown in the other, he joined Namshi to learn and do – everything! On weekends you can find him reading by day and BBQ-ing by night. There are 3 things he takes very seriously: work, the Oxford comma, and Biryani.
Yomna Sabry is a Product Management Analyst at Namshi. She joined Namshi eager to learn more about the E-commerce industry because of its growing potential and its importance in people’s lives nowadays. Prior to joining Namshi, she was a Product Owner at Adabisc in Qatar where she spent a year focusing on the development of products in Entertainment Technology. Her work there made her realize that product management is what she wants to specialize in; she very much likes being part of and foreseeing every aspect of product development. Before that, Yomna worked in research and software development in Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar for 2 years. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the American University in Cairo. She also wants to tour the world: 18 done and 188 more to go!
I always tried to figure out how internet works, from it’s early days and up to this moment – there is still a lot of things to know. In the mean time I’ve tried to manage and optimize systems for running web sites, starting from the shared hosting times on unix-based machines. I really like to debug internal system processes, this gives a better understanding of how systems works from deep inside. Around a year ago I discovered a kubernetes and focused on this amazing technology. I hope I’ll continue to grow professionally in this direction together with the Namshi team.
Omar Al Khairat is passionate about automated systems, cloud architecture s and Big Data; he loves building and learning how to build secure, reliable, fault-tolerant, scalable and efficient data-driven systems. With a background in Artificial Intelligence and software engineering experience he works closely with data scientists and system architects, using python and R. On his free time you’ll find him learning about new technologies, spending the time with family or eating pizza
Ammar Rayess is a front end developer who enjoys bringing creative designs to life, problem solving and learning about latest and best front end development practices. He tries to see things from the users’ perspective and dig into how they perceive a web app or feature, what they think is a blocker or a problem and to brainstorm for a way to make their experience a better one.
Carles Iborra is a seasoned software engineer and former manager with more than 10 years of experience in the field. Before joining Namshi he was leading teams in a similar company in Spain. He loves to create great products, technology, travels and people. When he is not working you can find him watching online courses, spending time with with his family or lost in the middle of UAE.

Oluwaseun Obajobi is the Lead System Administrator at Namshi.com (a Rocket Internet Venture), He is responsible for leading the System Administration team. Prior to joining Namshi, he has been involved in numerous IT projects in Nigeria, Serbia and the UAE for the past 5 years. Oba drives the team approach from traditional system administration to DevOps with implementation of different practices and tools. Oba holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, and a Master’s Degree in IT Management from Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Wollongong respectively.
Mohamed Amin is a Front End Developer working at Namshi.com, he has been passionate about Web development ever since the 33.6k internet modem! He acquired most of the experience he has through self education since highschool. Amin worked as a Web and UI Designer in creative agencies and software houses in Egypt delivering creative designs and neat UI prototypes. Amin is focuses on delivering solutions with optimized experience therefore he stands and fights for the UX aspects in the products he is involved in. He co-founded Web designers community in Alexandria (AWB) also participated in number of startup conferences. Amin believes that Web design became a comfort zone of his capabilities, so, working in Namshi will give Amin exposure to new technologies and opportunity to keep his learning curve alive and to explore the new world of E-commerce!
Samar Agrawal is a python enthusiast with experience in developing large scalable ERP`s, SaaS systems, and other cloud based systems. His love for computers comes from an early age and he admires new cutting edge technologies with data crunching being his current passion. He has been a technical reviewer on “OpenGL Data Visualization Cookbook” and is currently part of the University of Sheffield mentoring programme. In his free time, he can be found reading, trying new stuff or exploring new places. He is currently based in Dubai and holds a masters in Advanced Software Engineering from University of Sheffield, UK and Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering.
Filippo De Santis is an experienced PHP programmer with a rock solid knowledge about OOP, design patterns, TDD and best practices. He was an early symfony adopter, starting from version 1.0, and he contributed to the Symfony CMF project. He is also an active member of several IT communities in Italy, and he is used to share his experience as a speaker at meetups and conferences.
Muhammad Riaz is a Senior Developer joined Namshi Tech team in March 2012.

Luciano Amodio Graduated with magna cum laude in Science and Technology of Artistic Production at the Università di Perugia with the thesis “an architecture of human-machine interaction” and has been doing web development since 2000. He’s also interested in Zend Framework, Symfony2, Symfony CMF and Agile. Other Interests: Multimedia (Photo/Video/3D Rendering, Post Production, Editing), Interaction Design (hardware: arduino. software: processing, MAX/MSP) and Philosophy, esoterism, playing piano, photography and research.
Mohamad Hallal is a Software Engineer at Namshi. He joined the Tech Team in May 2013. Hallal is an American University of Sharjah Alumni holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a second major in Computer Engineering – Magna Cum Laude. His passion for programming and technology led him to start his career in Software Engineering/Web Development at Namshi. Hallal is currently keeping himself busy in learning about the industry and the state of the art solutions implemented at Namshi. His interests are sliding towards the Backend and API solutions implementation and maintenance. With pre-intermediate knowledge about web development, he is looking to expand his expertise on the industry’s best practices.
Daniel Ribeiro is a Technical Leader, Senior Software Engineer, PHP 5.3 Zend Certified Engineer (ZEND021458), Speaker and Evangelist from Brazil. He’s also a member of the local PHP community (PHPSC), and has been working with software engineering since 2006. His focus is on software engineering best practices, both concerning the code and the process of software development. He has a quite solid experience with agile practices and leading development teams to enterprise application standards and practices. Technically, he works with a lot of best practices, such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). He also has a background on architecture patterns, such as Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). He loves to work with high quality code, especially concerning advanced software engineering concepts, such as the SOLID principles and the GoF design patterns.
Alessandro (a.k.a. Casu) is Head of Business Intelligence. He joined Namshi in Dubai in 2012 and is currently leading the BI & Data Science practice. Before moving to the U.A.E., he worked one year in Australia for Rocket Internet contributing to creation and launch of several successful startups (among others TheIconic.com.au and Zanui.com.au). Alessandro has experience in BI & Analytics, online marketing, business planning and financial reporting. Prior to Namshi and Rocket Internet, Alessandro was full time analyst at Unicredit Bank in Europe. He obtained a MSc in Finance and a Bachelor in International Economics & Management from Bocconi University in Milan (ITA). Alessandro enjoys outdoor activities and loves travelling to explore new cultures. He joined StartupWeekend as mentor both in Dubai’s 2013 and 2014 editions as well as Denver’s last one in 2014.
Vishnu Nair is a Linux System Administrator at Namshi (a Rocket Internet Venture). His Job responsibilities include assisting the development team in infrastructure questions, problems and deployments. He maintains and improves the existing server infrastructure as well as new installations and backups. He monitors uptime, failover, infrastructure performance proactively and many more. He has around 3.7 years of experience in Linux and Cloud Computing Technologies. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in B.TECH from the Pondicherry University in India.
Armagan Kimonoglu graduated from Computer Science and dove into web development with Django, then did some System Administration with Fabric and regret that as soon as he met Saltstack. He introduced Saltstack to several companies, either built orchestration from scratch or converted from other tools like puppet or chef. Markafoni, Put.io, Koding, Kartaca and Peakgames were among those companies. Meanwhile, he developed a video on demand Android applications for Turkcell as a freelancer.
Prabeesh K is Junior Data Engineer at Namshi. He is a Open Source enthusiast from Kerala and has been very busy at BI desk since he joined last July 2014 with new APIs implementation and Google Biq Query. Moreover, he has contributed to two major open source Big Data projects namely Apache Spark and Apache Storm. That passion spills over in the form of technical blogs on which he works during his free time. Knowing about the trends in the data science, signing up and auditing online courses on Coursera, udacity, edx, MOOCS in general are some of his other avocations.
Vivek is an undergraduate at the University Of California, Los Angeles (Class of 2016) studying Economics, Entrepreneurship and Computing. He is passionate about everything technology related and aims to be a part of the upcoming digital revolution in a big way. Prior to Namshi, he was at a 3 month software engineering bootcamp in New York called Fullstack Academy that specialized in the MEAN stack. After graduation, Vivek aims to travel around South America and Europe for a few months before getting burdened with the pressures of adult life.
Haneen Musleh is a Product Management Analyst. She joined the Tech Team in April 2012 as part of the QA/Dev team and then moved to the PM team in April 2014. In the Tech team she used to channel the traffic between IT and other departments and do some PM activities. After moving to the PM team, she focused more on front end Projects and improvements. She is by far one of Namshi’s Gold customers and a SHOPAHOLIC by all means (online and offline). In her free time she’s either taking selfies, WhatsApping or at the gym.
David Funaro is a Software Engineer with more that 10 years of experience and a strong passion in building highly maintainable software. He spent the last years coaching teams, providing tools, knowledge and mentorship to improve software design. Over the years he has delivered software for companies like Eni, Ferrari, Nissan, Samsung, spoke at conferences, IT communities meet-ups. He also has contributed to OSS projects such as OrientDB Doctrine ODM.
Sarah Mujeeb is a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Namshi, having joined the firm in 2012. A finance graduate, she is also currently pursuing her Masters in Applied Finances. She thinks working with numbers is fun and enjoys being able to turn sets of data into identifiable patterns and trends. She also believes that one of the most exciting aspects of her line of work is that it is fast paced and always evolving. A big foodie, in her free time, you would probably find her discovering new food joints or out exploring the country.
Pinak Kakadiya is BI Developer at Namshi. He joined BI Team in May 2014. He is working with all kind of Data and has strong knowledge of Database, ETL and Data warehouse. Pinak works in various MSBI areas like SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Power View and Power Pivot. He completed his Bachelor’s in Information Technology from Gujarat University. His goal at Namshi is to turn data into information, and information into insights.
